When a customer decides not to proceed with a Quote, Ascora allows you to preserve the Quote in the system by marking it as "Lost" instead of deleting it. This ensures the Quote remains in the customer's history for future reference, maintaining a complete record of all interactions and decisions.

  • Re-opening or converting the Quote into a Job if the customer's decision changes later.

This guide will walk you through the steps to mark a Quote as Lost, manage the reasons for loss, and re-open or convert lost Quotes when needed. By leveraging this feature, you can maintain a comprehensive view of your sales history and stay organized for future opportunities.


1.ย  From the Quote Card, click the Mark as Lost button.

2.ย  The Reason For Loss pop-up window will display.ย  Select a reason from the dropdown menu.

NOTE: If the correct reason does not exist in the dropdown menu, navigate to Administration โ†’ Quotes, where you can add a new option here:

Ensure you select Save at the top right-hand side!

Re-Open a Lost Quote

A Quote that has been marked as Lost can be re-opened by clicking the Mark As Open button on the Quote Card.ย  The status of the Quote will change from โ€˜Lostโ€™ to โ€˜In Progressโ€™.

A Quote that has been marked as Lost can also be converted into a Job (without having to re-open the Quote) by clicking the Convert to Job button on the Quote Card.
