Efficiently managing job details is crucial for ensuring smooth workflows and clear communication across your team. Ascora’s intuitive Job Card allows you to streamline job creation and organization, providing all the tools necessary to capture essential details, assign tasks, and maintain accurate records. Whether you're working on small tasks or large-scale projects, the Job Card enables you to tailor job parameters, track progress, and ensure every detail is covered.
By following this guide, you'll learn how to:

- Select the appropriate Pricing Method to align with job requirements, including options for Time and Materials, Fixed Price, or Section-Based Jobs.

Access the Job Card
- Choose the Jobs Icon in the Top Menu to display the Jobs List.
- Select the applicable Job from the list to view its Job Card.


Navigate to the Details Tab
On the Job Card, select the Details Tab to begin entering or editing job-specific details.

Enter the Job Details
- Job Name: Although optional, a descriptive Job Name helps when searching or managing multiple jobs.
- Team Assignment: Assign the Job to a specific team, if applicable, for better resource allocation.
- Status and Priority: Apply a Secondary Status and assign a Priority Level to indicate urgency.
- Job Type: Select from pre-defined Job Types (set up in Administration Settings) to categorize jobs effectively.
- Client Order/Purchase Order Numbers: Enter these if required for client or internal tracking purposes.
Choose a Pricing Method
Select a Pricing Method that aligns with the job's scope and requirements:
- Time and Materials: Pricing is calculated based on a combination of labor and supply costs (plus markups).
- Fixed Price: The total price is pre-agreed and fixed, regardless of actual labor or supplies used. Enter the amount directly into the Fixed Price field.
- Sections: Ideal for larger, multi-stage projects where labor and supplies are allocated to individual sections. Refer to the guide on Section-Based Jobs for more information.

Select a Site and Billing Customer
- If the Job was created via the Scheduler or a Customer Card, the Site Customer will be auto-filled.
- For new Jobs created from the Jobs Screen, click Select Site Customer, then choose an existing customer or create a new one by clicking Create New.
- Verify the Billing Customer (default matches the Site Customer). If necessary, click Select Billing Customer to change it.
Provide a Detailed Job Description
The Description Field is mandatory and supports unlimited text, allowing you to include all relevant job details for clarity and reference.
Verify or Adjust the Job Address
By default, the address associated with the Site Customer will populate. Edit the address if the Job site differs.
Add a Job Checklist (Optional)
Including a Checklist ensures that all required tasks are completed before finalizing the Job. Select a pre-defined Checklist or create a new one for this Job.
Save the Job Details
After filling in all required fields and optional information, click the Save button to complete the setup.
