he screen recording feature on Android devices allows you to capture your phone's activity, making it easier to demonstrate issues, share workflows, or provide feedback regarding the Ascora app. This is especially useful when reporting bugs, showcasing features that are not functioning correctly, or seeking support from the Ascora team.

This guide will walk you through the process of recording your screen, saving the recording, and sharing it with the Ascora support team.

Tip If some features are not available or not working, please check that you have the correct mobile access level and the right permissions. See šŸ“² How to add Mobile Users & Grant Permissions Ā for more information.

To proceed with screen recording, complete the following steps.

1.Ā Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to access Quick Settings and tapĀ Screen recorderĀ and you might need to swipe right to find it.

Note:Ā If the Screen recorder is not visible, you will need to add it to your Quick Settings first.

When it's your first time using screen recording you will be prompted to allow permissions. Just tap on Settings and allow the corresponding permissions such as access to the microphone to record audio.

2.Ā Tap onĀ Media sounds and micĀ and then tap onĀ Start recording.

Note:Ā If you want to record without sound, select the "No sound" option.

3.Ā Wait for the three-second countdown or tap onĀ Skip countdownĀ to record immediately.

4.Ā Access your Ascora App and complete the steps that will show the issue that you are reporting such as accessing a job or a PO or trying to send an email.

Note:Ā If you're reporting an issue such as App cashing or App not completing a sync, encountering an error message, or some features not working, please ensure to capture this in the recording.

5.Ā To stop recording, tap on the square icon located on the upper right part of the screen. This will stop the recording and automatically save the file in your phone gallery.

6.Ā Go to the Photos app and access your screen recording.

7.Ā Select the file and tap onĀ ShareĀ and send it toĀ support@ascora.com.auĀ including the details of your query.

Tip If the screen recording file is too large and cannot be sent via email, please upload it into your Dropbox or Google Drive or any other online storage platform that you're using and then email the link to Ascora.
